Connect NetSuite (your warehouse)

If your stock is in NetSuite, connecting it lets Nasam read your quantities from it and sync them to your channels.

The connection is a one-time setup your NetSuite admin prepares: we generate a certificate, your admin uploads it in NetSuite and returns four values, and you enter them with us to complete the connection.

Before you start

  • A NetSuite account, and an admin who can configure it.
  • The Location that holds your sellable stock in NetSuite.

Steps

Phase 1: Generate the certificate in Nasam

On the «Warehouses» page press «Connect a warehouse», pick NetSuite, then «Generate & download certificate». The nasam-netsuite.crt file downloads; hand it to your NetSuite admin.

Choosing NetSuite and the generate-certificate button in the Nasam platform

Phase 2: Your admin sets up NetSuite

These steps are for your admin. Give them the certificate file; they run the steps and return four values.

  1. Enable the required features. In Setup › Company › Enable Features › SuiteCloud: check REST Web Services (SuiteTalk section) and OAuth 2.0 (Manage Authentication section), and under the Analytics subtab check SuiteAnalytics Workbook (SuiteQL needs it to read stock).
  2. Create a role with the permissions. In Setup › Users/Roles › Manage Roles › New: a role (not Administrator) with REST Web Services (Full), Log in using Access Tokens (Full), SuiteAnalytics Workbook (Edit), and Read on Items, Inventory, Sales Order, and Customer.
  3. Create an integration record. In Setup › Integration › Manage Integrations › New: check Client Credentials (Machine to Machine) Grant, under scopes check REST Web Services, then save. The Client ID shows only once on save, so copy it immediately.
  4. Link the certificate. In Setup › Integration › Manage Authentication › OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials (M2M) Setup › Create New: pick the user (Entity), the Role from step 2 and the Application from step 3, and upload the certificate file you received. The Certificate ID appears (this is the kid).
  5. Get the Account ID. In Setup › Company › Company Information: copy the Account ID (e.g. 1234567, or 1234567_SB1 in a sandbox).
  6. Get the Location ID. In Lists › Accounting › Locations (enable Show Internal IDs from Home › Set Preferences): copy the Location internal ID of the location that holds your sellable stock.

Phase 3: Enter the four values in Nasam

Go back to the same warehouse connect dialog, enter the four values, then press «Connect»:

Entering the four values in the NetSuite connect dialog

The NetSuite-side setup has its details; reach out and we coordinate it with your admin.

After connecting

The NetSuite warehouse becomes the brand's stock source: Nasam reads your sellable quantities from the location you chose, builds all your channels on them, and updates them within an hour of any change in your warehouse.

Your next step

  • Inventory: when your stock changes and what syncs across your channels.
